The Opportunity

The Theatre Technician – Sound and Lighting will provide high-quality professional services within audio, lighting, staging and audiovisual disciplines in the Technical Services Team at the Redland Performing Arts Centre.

This role provides assistance with supervisory responsibilities for a number of technical staff and contractors.

 About you

Do you have demonstrated experience in technical production with performing arts venues, festivals and events, touring productions or established theatre companies?

Are you able to translate technical production notes and requirements in order to set up, fault find, operate and maintain production equipment, systems and effects within strict deadlines?

Do you have an ability to take direction, working under limited supervision in a hands-on team environment?

Having suitable entertainment industry, trade or tertiary qualifications will be well regarded.

Eligibility requirements

Mandatory Criteria

Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Current Queensland “C” class driver’s licence
