The Opportunity

The Theatre Technician – Sound and Lighting provides high quality professional services within audio, lighting, staging and audio visual disciplines in the Technical Services Team at the Redland Performing Arts Centre.

This role provides assistance with supervisory responsibilities for a number of technical staff and contractors.

About you

We are on the lookout for experienced technicians in the areas of sound, lighting and stage management to join a dynamic growing team of passionate professionals. Do you have experience in technical production within performing arts venues, festivals and events, touring productions or established theatre companies? You will be required to translate technical production notes and requirements in order to set up, fault find, operate and maintain production equipment, systems and effects within strict deadlines.  We require you to utilise your fine-tuned people skills to deliver impeccable customer service to a very broad range of professional and community venue users.

5+ years entertainment industry experience, trade or tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.

Eligibility requirements

·        You hold a C class drivers licence

·        You are available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

·        You are Physically capable to perform manual handling tasks when required

·        This position required the successful applicant to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (evidence to be provided during interview stage)
