Theatre Technician – short term contract

An experienced theatre / conference technician is required for an immediate start.  The Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre is one of the largest facilities of its kind in regional Australia.  Comprising a 1090 seat theatre, two plenary halls which when fully extended seat 1500, a studio theatre, meeting rooms and foyer space, the Centre conducts multiple events each day, and the Centre also manages the Mackay Stadium a 12,000 capacity purpose built Stadium and a series of outdoor Festivals and Events.
We are currently seeking an experienced technician to work a 38 hour week (shift work) for a period of up to six weeks.  Preference will be given to candidates who have lighting experience and have operated a Grand MA2 or similar.  The work will involve a variety of events including theatre shows, conferences, a rodeo, corporate gigs and more.
Accomodation assistance and air fares can be negotiated with the right applicant, and an attractive hourly rate is on offer.
