Council seeks applications from suitably experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Theatre Technician based at the newly refurbished Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC). The successful incumbent will provide effective and efficient technical and maintenance support and advice to venue hirers and theatre management in order to deliver quality productions for theatre patrons and the wider Gladstone Regional community members.
This position is physically demanding and to be successful the incumbent will need to be physically fit with manual dexterity to climb ladders, ability to work at heights and be able to do heavy lifting and carrying.
Relevant tickets & licences for this role include but are not limited to:
• Qualification in Technical Operations
• Forklift (LF)
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
• Basic Rigging (RB)
• Testing & Tagging licence
• Working with Children Blue Card Positive Notice
• Class “C” Queensland Drivers Licence
Please note, the GECC operates day and evening, on weekends and on public holidays and therefore the incumbent must be able to work outside of normal office hours to accommodate the operations and in accordance with the roster.
