Theatre Technician – Duty Technical Supervisor

$37.39 per hour + up to 12% super

The job

The Theatre Technician – Duty Technical Supervisor will provide high quality professional services within audio, lighting, staging and audio visual disciplines in the Technical Services Team at the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC).

Additionally, this role will undertake supervisory responsibilities for a number of technical staff and contractors.

The applicant

  • Do you have demonstrated experience in technical production with performing arts venues, festivals and events, touring productions or established theatre companies?
  • Are you able to translate technical production notes and requirements in order to supervise technical teams and work within those teams to set up, fault find, operate and maintain production equipment, systems and effects within strict deadlines?
  • Do you have an ability to take direction, working under limited supervision as both a supervisor and team member in a hands-on team environment?

Having suitable entertainment industry, trade or tertiary qualifications will be well regarded, along with a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate.

    • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
    • Current Queensland C class drivers’ licence
