We are seeking to appoint an outstanding person to this very important position in our Performing Arts Centre Team, where there is plenty of opportunities to apply skills and experience to a wide variety of technical work.
The Theatre Technician works within our Performing Arts Centre team to produce high-quality presentations within our George Wood Performing Arts Centre and related venues.
In particular, the successful applicant will be required to perform tasks in the following areas
- Set up and pack up of technical equipment
- The operation of technical equipment for performances and presentations
- Recording, editing and streaming of video and audio projects
- General equipment maintenance along with adherence to ‘back to standard’ procedures
Previous industry experience is preferred and preference will be given to those who have worked within an independent school setting.
This role is casual and includes evening and weekend work. Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to demonstrate initiative and to prioritise tasks.
A salary commensurate with experience will be offered. The successful applicant must have a current Working with Children Check.
