Theatre Technician

About the Role

This is a key position involved in the delivery of events at the Esperance Civic Centre. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and technical expertise for performances, functions and events projects. The role assists the Civic Centre Coordinator with all aspects of technical production at the Civic Centre and ensures that a clean and safe environment is provided for all events. 

About You 

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Certificate IV in facility operation, lighting and electronics, audio/visual, staging technician or other relevant qualifications and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience in setting up for events or the willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and work flexible hours – including weekends and evenings.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisation skills.
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure.
  • Public relations, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).

Benefits

Salary: $70,597 per annum, plus overtime, plus superannuation.
