About The Opportunity

In your role as Theatre Technician, you will provide technical and venue operations support (operation of lighting, sound, projection, rigging and mechanical equipment) ensuring delivery of exceptional technical services to all internal and external stakeholders. You will also assist the Technical Coordinator to implement safety, asset and equipment maintenance plans including undertaking proactive and reactive maintenance works, as required. In addition to this, you will also support the Technical Coordinator in collating and delivering reporting and evaluation data.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in technical theatre work.
  • Qualifications in technical theatre or relevant trade qualifications are desirable
  • Demonstrated competence using Windows desktop software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated experience with a customer focused approach to people at all levels within the public and private sectors.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and workflows.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner.
  • Ability to work flexible hours appropriate for the operation of the venues.
