Weekly Salary: $1,180 – $1,286 (plus superannuation)

About the role

Reporting to the Coordinator – Theatre Technicians and working within the Orange Civic Theatre and Function Centre team, this role is responsible for:

  • The setup and operation of sound, lighting and audiovisual equipment
  • Bump in/out and setting up/pulling down theatre production sets
  • Maintaining and using a variety of equipment in the Theatre/Performing Arts venue environment
  • Preparation of sound and lighting for scheduled events and meeting deadlines as directed

So what do you need?

  • An interest in Theatre.
  • An understanding of the mechanics of a theatre including sound, lighting, audiovisual and setting up/pulling down of productions.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including late nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work and contribute as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow procedures in a team environment.
  • Be a creative thinker and have the ability to work through problems.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Please note: This position includes a 15% salary loading as the position holder is often required to work out of their normal span of hours to assist with shows.
