About the role
The Theatre Technician supports the technical unit by undertaking theatre and function set ups, operating theatrical equipment and assisting in the upkeep of Council’s performance venues and systems.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical support in at least one discipline – staging, lighting, audio and/or vision.
- Demonstrated experience working in a technical area in a theatrical and/or live entertainment venue.
- Possess a well-developed understanding of theatre technical systems.• Excellent problem-solving abilities and skills commensurate with this classification level.
- Perform work with a degree of physical activity and manual labour.
- Current Queensland “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
- Capacity to work flexible hours including weekends.
