About the role
The Theatre Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the overall management of the Zenith Theatre and Convention Centre and Joe Ciantar rehearsal studio. The role is responsible for operations, maintenance and customer service ensuring the smooth day to day running of the venues. This role is the primary point of contact for patrons during events and is responsible for the delivery of quality customer service across all interactions with the venue.
You will be responsible for leading the Front of House and Technical Teams running the theatre’s events with a hands-on approach. You will help to foster a positive environment to mentor and motivate the team while supporting the Operations Manager overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the Zenith Theatre and Convention Centre.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Production/Event Management or related experience
- Strong ability to provide high customer service standards, whilst displaying a professional and energetic image
- An understanding of event booking systems, ticketing systems and spreadsheets
- Experience in an arts/entertainment environment with a sound understanding of the entertainment industry, its terminology, traditions & protocols
- Experience in venue and/or event management
- Knowledge of lighting and sound in a live performance, conference and/or theatrical environment
- Experience working on bump ins and bump outs, rehearsals and performances in venues
- Hold a current Apply First Aid Certificate
- Successful applicant will need to obtain Accredited Responsible Services of Alcohol – Level A & L
