Wenona is seeking an experienced and energetic Theatre Manager. This role contributes to the technical and operational functions of the Independent Theatre in North Sydney. You will ensure that events are managed in line with all theatre and School protocols for the benefit of the school and broader community.
The Position
- Ensure the Theatre venue supports the delivery of Wenona’s academic, Co-Curricular, performance and event programs across a wide range of disciplines.
- Support a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in the provision of event management.
- Provide technical and operational knowledge about the Theatre’s activities and programs.
- Manage external and community bookings in consultation with the School’s calendar of events.
- Assist with of technical operations, physical operations, event and backstage/stage management functions.
- Ensure compliance with all Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and practices.
- Manage a variety of temporary and contract speciality staff as well as production crew.
- Provide administrative and operational assistance across the School to meet functional requirements and uphold the reputation of Wenona.
This is a Full-Time permanent position, commencing Term 1 2026.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience working as a Theatre Manager. You will have strong technical theatre skills as well as a creative flair. You will be able to build rapport with various stakeholders, with an ability to engage and communicate to all including students, parents and staff. You will be capable of working collaboratively within a team environment and be committed to supporting the values of Wenona as you undertake your role.
