Theatre Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Theatre Manager to join our dynamic Performing Arts team at our Caulfield School campus. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating operations of our Performing Arts facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient operation and security of the building complex
  • Coordinate events, bookings, ticket sales and performances in the Performing Arts facilities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful scheduling of programs
  • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance, rigging and set up of all sound, lighting, and audio-visual equipment in the Performing Arts facilities
  • Manage the Performing Arts capital and operation budget, purchasing required resources ensuring equipment are utilised, repaired and maintained within budget
  • Manage all Performing Arts facilities systems and maintain their effective operation
  • Work closely with the Deputy Head of Campus regarding recruitment, orientation, performance issues
  • Perform as the Production Manager for theatre and music events
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Key Skills:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Seasonal organisation, planning, and time management skills
  • Experience in production and stage management including lighting, audio systems, safety practices, OH&S, venue, and team supervision
  • Certificate IV Qualifications in the areas of staging or audio visual
  • High risk work qualifications in EWP and Dogging Working
  • Hold or able to attain an Employment Working with Children’s Check
