Theatre and Technical Services Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join St Stephen’s School as the Theatre and Technical Services Manager. Start date – mid January 2024 (or by negotiation). The role will be full time, working across both Duncraig and Carramar campuses.

THE ROLE

You will be managing the technical and operational services for St Stephen’s School’s live, community-facing events in the Theatre and cross-campus venues. responsibilities include, but not limited to, event management, technical operation, bump in / out, ticketing and other event related activities.

You will also be responsible for the day to day operations of the Theatre as well as overall venue management. There will be some after school and weekend commitments

  • Statement addressing the Selection Criteria, limited to 5 pages (combine your  Covering letter and Statement into one document)

Selection Criteria (Each point to be addressed)

  • Relevant qualification preferred but not required. 
  • Experience in the technicalities of theatre operations. 
  • An understanding of the nature of theatre services in schools. 
  • The ability to formulate and apply relevant lighting techniques and methods.
  • Have knowledge and experience of live sound mixing.
  • The Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 applies for anyone working in child related employment 
  • National Criminal Record Checking (except Teaching staff)
  • Willingness to positively and actively contribute to the Christian culture of the School
  • Be able to role model Christian behaviour in all aspects of the role

The successful candidate must hold a current Australian working visa.
