PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Bondi Icebergs club and function spaces recently underwent a major refurbishment, rebranded as “The Bergs”. Renovations included new bars, an expanded kitchen, larger dining areas, upgraded bathrooms, and dedicated function spaces. The venue is now highly flexible, capable of hosting multiple events
simultaneously.
To support this flexibility, the venue implemented a WyreStorm Network HD Video-over-IP system, supplied by Amber Technology, for reliable multi-zone video
distribution across LCD and LED displays.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
The venue needed a video solution that could:
- Deliver independent video content to multiple zones
Allow staff to manage AV via tablets for simplicity - Integrate multiple sources, including live events, sports, and pre-recorded media
- Quickly adapt to changing room layouts and event requirements
WYRESTORM SOLUTION
The video system used WyreStorm Network HD Video-over-IP, chosen for its flexibility, reliability, and intuitive app-based control, ideal for the fast-paced, multifunctional environment.
Equipment Installed:
- 9 × 4K Encoders (6 × TV channel input and
3 × HDMI input) - 2 × 4K Receivers (for LED and LCD displays
throughout the venue) - 2 × 4K Multiview Receivers (for large LED screens,
supporting multiple inputs simultaneously)
This setup consolidated multiple video sources, Foxtel, Sky STBs, and HDMI wallplate inputs, and distributed them efficiently across all zones. Staff can control the system via tablet, switching content between zones quickly and easily.
