TES deploy Ape Sticks and Maxis

When Colin West from Total Event Services in Darwin came up with the concept for his Holiday Train that takes passengers around the George Brown Darwin Botanical Gardens he knew he needed a high power and reliable battery LED fixture for several sections of the trains route to illuminated features in the garden.

Colin chose the battery powered Ape Sticks and Maxis from Ape Labs.

The Maxis are used to illuminate several feature dinosaurs and even a crocodile in the creek, the isolation of these sections meant that battery units were essential.

Colin uses the Ape sticks on the bridge near the trains station and they are simply connected to the bridges vertical posts which are steel using the Ape Sticks magnetic mounts that are standard on each unit.

“Deployment of 10x Ape Sticks on the bridge takes less than a minute as its a single button press to activate the sticks and then they simply stick on to the bridge using the magnets, it couldn’t be easier” explained Colin.

“Battery life is important as we don’t want to be charging them up all the time, we normally get a few days out of each unit with them running for around 5hrs per day”

Ape Sticks and Maxi’s when not in use are all housed in their dedicated touring cases that keeps them safe and charges them at the same time.
