The City of Albany’s Arts and Culture Team is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to take up the role of Technician Services Coordinator.
Reporting to the Manager Arts and Culture, this role will see you responsible for:
· Provision of technician services for the Town Hall Auditorium program; including operation of house sound, video & lighting system in conjunction with clients to required standard for each event;
· Service, maintain and test Albany Town Hall sound, video & lighting system and provide advice and support on system requirements and functionality;
· Assist in the development, planning and implementation of community art projects, workshops, public programs and events with a focus on local artists, performing arts and music; and
· Working in a creative team to ensure successful outcomes for Arts & Culture activities.
The successful candidate will need a tertiary qualification or relevant experience in theatre production/technician services and be able to demonstrate:
· Excellent interpersonal, organisation and time management skills;
· Understanding of the technical and production requirements associated with multi-art form projects and events;
· Extensive knowledge in operation of house sound, video & lighting systems; and
· Experience with supervision and capacity building of community organisations and/or community arts facilities.
