Technician – Performing Arts Centre

The Opportunity

Join the team that will launch Goulburn’s brand new Performing Arts Centre in March 2022, offering an amazing arts experience to our residents and visitors.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council is building a 400 seat state of the art proscenium arch theatre in the heart of our City. Planning is underway to open the doors next year, and we need brilliant team members to join us. At Council, we believe in a positive work/life balance, and we are an equal opportunity employer.

The Role

As the Technician, you will support our Technical Coordinator in providing quality technical production services and efficient Back of House operations for professional touring companies and community groups.

To be successful you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as Technician or Stage Hand and experience using theatrical equipment;
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying out maintenance of theatrical equipment; and
  • A demonstrated passion for working in the arts.

The Rewards

  • Commencing salary between $35.63 – $40.10 per hour, plus 10% superannuation
  • Work a minimum of 28 hours per week, on a part-time rostered basis
