Casual Position: VPS Grade 2.1.8 – $31.95 per hour
Technicians report to the Technical Manager and are part of the Programming & Presenter Services team. Technicians assist the Technical Manager and Concert & Event Managers to effectively and professionally deliver the technical and production services required for a variety of concerts and events to an international standard and ensuring the safe and efficient running of the Centre.
Expected duties include: set-up and operate production equipment (including audio, lighting, audio-visual, projection, staging, furniture and instruments); preventative maintenance, repairs and statutory tests on equipment; complete reports and administrative tasks, attend production and operational meetings; correct use of venue management software system.
The position will involve irregular hours, including many evenings and weekends and considerable flexibility will be required.
