The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre is seeking two casual Technicians to work alongside our high performing Lighting, Audio Visual and Staging teams delivering high quality production services for a variety of events held at the MECC.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Work as part of a high performing team with great culture on a wide range of productions and events including many major performing arts companies and promoters
- Learn and harness new skills under the supervision of experiences and qualified heads of department
We are looking for team members who:
- Can assist with the setup and adjustment of basic lighting, audio, staging and/or other technical equipment and procedures
- Assist with bump in and bump out of theatrical productions and functions
- Work with clients to deliver the requirements of their events
- Venue supervisor duties as required – full training provided on site
- Prior technical experience in the theatre, hospitality industry or events will come highly regarded.
