Technical Training and Development Lead

Since 2011, Arts Centre Melbourne’s Industry Association RTO (Registered Training Organisation) has been at the forefront of technical training services for the live performing arts industry delivering:

  • In-house production traineeship programs (Certificate III in Live Production & Services)
  • Nationally Accredited Training & Assessment in qualifications Cert III and Cert IV in Live Production & Technical Services to support Arts Centre Melbourne’s production team & technicians from metro, regional & interstate venues.

About the Role

The Technical Training & Development Lead will support Arts Centre Melbourne team members & the wider live performance industry sector by contributing to current & ongoing development, administration and facilitation of high-quality RTO & organisational training programs and resources.

Full time ongoing position. Band 4.1 $95,243.20 plus superannuation.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Excellent training presentation and delivery skills
  • A minimum of 5 years’ industry experience working professionally within the live theatre, production & events sector
  • Senior level knowledge & experience across a range of technical production areas using current technology (audio/vision/lighting/staging/production management)
  • Experience with WH&S risk management for live production & events.
  • Experience in the design, evaluation, implementation and improvement of industry workplace-based training & assessment materials.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust for influence and audience
  • Proficiency in word processing and preparation of presentations
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions and new work methods to address challenges.

Highly desirable or currently enrolled:

  • TAE40116: Certificate IV Training & Assessment (Preferred)
  • CUA40420: Certificate IV Live Production and Technical Services and/ or equivalent level current industry experience.
