Hale School is Western Australia’s oldest independent boys’ school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking to appoint a Technical Theatre Manager to oversee the operations of all performance spaces at Hale School. This is an important role within the Performing and Creative Arts departments, providing operational and technical support for both the curricular and co-curricular programs.
The successful applicant will:
- Have a thorough understanding of the production process and theatre production techniques with a specific expertise in theatre lighting design and operation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of lighting and sound systems, control apparatus, equipment and its maintenance.
- Strong, proven experience in stage and production
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to communicate clearly and consistently with all theatre and performance space users.
- Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service.
- Highly organised with successful experience in meeting deadlines and managing conflicting priorities, whilst having the agility to problem-solve when faced with unexpected situations.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Working At Height qualification.
- Working with Children Clearance.
- National Police Clearance Certificate.
