About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised Technical Support Specialist (TSS) to be an instrumental part of growing our B2B sales. The TSS will assist our Audio Product Marketing team, dealers and end-users through the provision of high-quality support and resources across our Professional Solutions products. This includes our Professional Audio and Unified Communications suite of products.
Reporting to the Product Manager & Technical Specialist – Commercial Audio, this role will also be responsible for researching and developing project proposals for tenders, as well as creating design and system specifications.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role:
- Provide technical support via phone and email for Yamaha’s extensive range of Professional Solutions products to dealers and end users
- Utilise available pricing information to determine system pricing and configuration
- Collate a database of tenders suitable to Yamaha Music Australia
- Collaborate with our commercial sales and audio marketing teams, to submit proposals for suitable tenders. This may be in conjunction with dealers or where suitable, via direct supply
- Research market technologies, exploring anything new and relevant to Yamaha
- In conjunction with relevant Product Managers, assist with the preparation of training material and technical guides for delivery to relevant market partners
- Complete available Dante certification up to level 3
- Assist in the planning of trade shows, events and training for the Audio team as necessary
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical support role or associated role dealing with products adopting similar technology to Yamaha
- Minimum 3 years’ industry experience in professional or commercial audio
- Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of marketing concepts, strategies and tools
- A keen eye for detail
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to build and manage relationships and work autonomously with minimal supervision
- An excellent understanding of the Microsoft Suite, and the ability to learn and adopt new software tools
Other requirements:
- Some interstate travel may be required
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Working With Children check as this may be required for some projects
