About the role
No two days are the same at Willoughby City Council. In our Community Culture and Leisure team, you’ll need a broad set of skills and an eagerness to learn. In this position you will be working as part of the Performing Arts Team at the Zenith Theatre and Convention Centre, and the Joe Ciantar Music Rehearsal Studio. The team is responsible for running and maintaining the technical operations and resources of the facilities to produce a variety of events. You may also be called upon to assist with Front of House Duties from time to time.
You will need:
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and technical experience in delivering Sound/AV and lighting services, including operating and maintaining equipment
- Proven delivery of high quality customer service to meet production requirements in high-pressure situations
- Demonstrated experience with analogue and digital sound equipment
- Demonstrated experience in rigging, patching and operating of lighting and video equipment
- Knowledge and experience of technical production in live events
- Demonstrated experience in giving high quality service to a diverse range of non-professional, community based and corporate clients
- Demonstrated experience in production management and technical planning
- Proven delivery of technical documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team supervisor or part of a team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to undertake physical work for extended periods and to work at heights
- Understanding and ability to follow Risk Management Procedures
- RSA – Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate or willingness to attain
