Technical Producer – Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Producer to join the team at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC), Liverpool City Council’s Cultural Facility. CPAC is a multi-award winning Arts Centre located on the Georges River in Casula. The centre boasts six galleries, a flexible performance space, a state of the art 326 seat theatre, artists studios, residency, clay house and is surrounded by natural parklands. CPAC hosts a vibrant multi-disciplinary arts program which includes exhibitions, theatre, live music, dance, workshops, festivals, seminars and education programs that attracts more than 65,000 visitors a year.
CPAC is looking for a Technical Producer with a proven track record in the arts and entertainment industry of a can-do attitude to join our dynamic team.
Working closely with CPAC’s Creative Producers and an integral part of CPAC’s operations team, the Technical Producer provides hands-on technical support and advice to a range of internal and external clients across a diverse array of programming. Supervising, co-ordinating and scheduling  staff, this position is  responsible for overseeing all aspects of technical production including Rig and operate lighting, sound, audio-visual, projection, staging and furniture equipment for festival, events, programs and performance productions in accordance with Industry standards and WHS practices and risk management procedures.  The position is also responsible for the management, maintenance of the technical equipment, technical budget and technical staff rosters.
You will possess:
Tertiary education in production or events management and/or five years minimum experience in entertainment, performing arts venue, gallery or related industry.
Working from heights training and WP Boom type elevating work platform above 11 metres license, a current C class license, riggers ticket.
Knowledge of Work Health Safety practices, arts industry standards and the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practice and multi-cultural diversity.
Extensive experience in designing, adapting and  interpreting technical specifications and requirements for set up, operation and pack down of events, activities, festivals, performances and exhibitions within a range of touring, commercial and community contexts.

Salary: $64,587.79 to $70,771.70 pa
