Technical Producer

1 x Permanent Full Time – 35 hours, 5 days per week

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre is a key cultural facility within Western Sydney.  We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our innovative team.

The Technical Producer works closely with the Director, Casula Powerhouse and Curator/Producer Theatre to plan, deliver and evaluate a diverse range of theatre programs including dance, music, multi-media, film and special events as well as in-house and external events which all contribute to the centre’s program.

The position is responsible for the provision of services and technical support to presenters and clients to meet production requirements that comply with relevant technical and arts venue requirements which include setting up and striking technical equipment to support a range of large to small live performances and events. This technical support is to be provided with properly developed and managed OH&S practices and risk management procedures. The position is also responsible for the management, maintenance and security of all centre technical equipment including lighting, sound, audio visual as well as other relevant venue equipment as identified.

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in production or events management and/or extensive comparable industry experience.  You will possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing at a high level as well as have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and to work well as part of a small team.

This position has a salary range of $59,310.54 to $64,989.19 pa. Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
