Technical Operator – Lighting

Crown Perth’s Theatre is recruiting additional skilled crew within our Lighting team. The main responsibilities of this role will be to work with the Theatre Head Technical Operator – Lighting to assist with lighting requirements for touring shows, productions, and events. This includes but is not limited to, lighting console operation, follow-spot operation, floor electrician and general install/maintenance duties.  In addition to working in the Theatre this role will be required to work within various venues across the Crown Resort Complex. This position also acts as a point of contact for casual staff in the Lighting team, assisting with operation and training staff. 

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:

•  Willingness to work outside of normal work business hours including weekends and evenings
•  Technical lighting experience with an emphasis on Theatrical lighting
•  Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•  Ability to work in a team environment
•  Ability to analyse problems, identify and implement appropriate solutions
•  Demonstrated ability to work under direction as well as unsupervised
•  Knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
•  Organisational skills including time management, task prioritization and resource scheduling

Qualifications required:

•   Working at Heights certificate and White Card
•   minimum 3 years experience in Lighting and technical operations.
•  Relevant Certificate qualification (WAAPA or equivalent experience)
