Due to the busy nature of our Theatre Department we have a position available for a Casual Technical Operator – Lighting.
The main responsibilities of this role will be to work with the Head Technical Operator – Lighting to assist in bumping in and out of shows, installation, set up, operation, dismantling and maintenance of Theatre technical systems whilst maintaining safe working practices.
To be successful for this position you will make:
Minimum 2 years experience in operating venue technical systems for theatre, arenas and/or stadium
Knowledge and experience in moving lights (Robe / Varilites / Mac etc
Knowledge and experience in programming of moving light desks (eg: Avolite, Hog, GrandMA)
Working knowledge of house and production technical systems
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn, multi-skill and work within a team
Ability to complete assigned tasks and follow direction
Understanding of OH & S and work safe practices
Flexible availability including weekends, public holidays and nights
Obtained a Construction White Card and Working At Heights Ticket
