Technical Operations Manager

Sacred Heart College is a Catholic, co-educational College for students in Years 7-12 located on the coast in Sorrento, Western Australia. The College has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within our Four Pillars – Spiritual, Academic, Cultural and Sport.

We are seeking a dynamic, relational and experienced Technical Operations Manager, this is a full time, ongoing position, start date TBA.

About the role: The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the operational and technical requirements of the RNDM Theatre. This role provides expert-level support in audio-visual (AV), sound, and lighting technologies to both the College and external users of the venue. Working closely with the Events Coordinator and the Performing Arts Department, the Technical Operations Manager ensures that the theatre is utilized to its full potential, delivering high-quality technical support for a wide range of performances and events.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Audio-Visual & Lighting Operations – Provide expert-level audio-visual and lighting technical support for all RNDM internal and external events. This includes College shows, guest speakers, theatrical productions, and a wide range of campus functions. Ensure high-quality delivery of sound and visual elements to enhance event experiences.
  • Performing Arts Centre Technical Support – Deliver comprehensive technical support within the RNDM Performing Arts Centre. Assist both internal College users and external hirers with the use of the venue, including managing opening and closing procedures and operating lighting, sound, and multimedia equipment.
  • Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) – Ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Theatre and Performing Arts Centre. Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health regulations, implement safe work practices, and always maintain technical spaces to the highest safety standards.
