TDC is seeking a full time Technical Operations Manager to join our high-performing Sydney Operations team in a newly created role. This is a hands-on and cross-functional role that interacts between the Client Services and Technical Operations functions of TDC. The role is responsible for managing TDC’s Technical Operations and resources to provide a quality-focused service that supports TDC’s reputation for excellence in delivering leading-edge technical solutions for our clients.

What your work world will look like:
- Manage TDC’s Technical team with a strong focus on agility, passion, and teamwork to ensure TDC’s technical solutions are delivered consistently for all shows.
- Work with TDC’s Client Services and Operations teams to support the delivery of client projects from technical show preparation quality control through to onsite delivery of TDC’s technical solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to TDC’s Technical team to ensure technical standards are maintained and improved across the lifecycle of all projects.
- Assist TDC’s Crewing team with the planning of workforce requirements.
- Contribute to success by ensuring overall operational effectiveness.
What you bring to the role:
- Demonstrated high level experience in the management of people supporting a range of audio-visual services in the Live Events and Entertainment Industry.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in technical production management in the Live Events and Entertainment industry.
- Experience working with video technology.
- Hold an understanding of the peaks and troughs of the Events and Entertainment industry workflow.
- The ability to multitask and manage multiple completing priorities while clearly communicating to direct reports.
- Ability to plan resources and manage large teams of people delivering live events.
- Experience with RentalPoint and Personnel Manager beneficial but not essential.
