The Technical Operations Department is currently seeking applicants for a number of new staff to join the team on a casual basis. Working behind the scenes, our technical operations team plays an important part of constructing the main arena and function spaces into various entertainment modes.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible and diverse role or looking to gain industry experience.
Role Highlights
Carry out set ups and pack down of staging and infrastructure in the main arena
Carry out set ups and pack down of flooring and timing equipment for sporting events
Assist in the day to day set ups of function spaces and event areas, including seating arrangements, minor AV,cabling, projector and minor IT
Assist with maintenance of the main arena and associated equipment
Successful Candidates
Prior knowledge or experience of staging systems, backstage or functions operations is desirable
Experience in a physically demanding roles and a fast pace environment
Good communication skills
The ability to work in a large team environment
The ability to problem solve and think ahead
Flexible availability to work across the event schedule which includes day, afternoon,evening and overnight shifts on any day of the week.
Forklift or Elevated Work Platform Certificate is desirable
