For over 90 years, Bondi Pavilion has been a central part of life for residents and visitors to Bondi Beach. Having undergone a complete restoration and upgrade, this iconic building will reopen to the public in Spring 2022 offering world-class cultural, community and creative facilities and programming.
In this newly created role, the Technical Officer is responsible for providing day-to-day technical and production services, with a focus on audio, across Bondi Pavilion including set up and operation of services for theatre, studio and event spaces. This includes contributing to event planning and delivery including participation in production meetings and provision of schedules, technical specifications, risk assessments and reporting.
The Technical Officer will also recruit, train and roster a pool of casual technical and production staff to support delivery of a wide range of events and venue hire activity. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the venue is safe and welcoming for a wide range of hirers and audiences is essential.
Appropriate tertiary or other qualifications or equivalent experience in technical production or stage management is required, supported by a demonstrated working knowledge of related operational activities gained in a cultural or community venue environment.
