Technical Officer

About the Opportunity

Cessnock City Council has a rare and unique opportunity for an experienced technician to join our passionate Performance Arts Culture Cessnock team in delivering high quality technical services. 

This position will require you to draw upon your experience and technical knowledge in creative arts or technical production to deliver all technical operations including, preparing, planning, maintaining and deploying the venue’s audio, lighting and staging assets to support local, professional and community events. This position is also responsible for implementing maintenance schedules for all technical tools and equipment to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industry guidelines, Australian standards and codes of practice. 

This role requires you to be able to work in accordance with a roster which includes weekends and evening work.

 Remuneration

$63,952 – $74,050 per annum plus superannuation

About You

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Certificate III or above in the field of creative arts, technical production, music or other relevant equivalent discipline. You will bring experience working in creative arts or technical production, and have demonstrated knowledge of creative arts, venue operations and technical production. In addition to your technical knowledge, you will have excellent problem solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
