About the position:
The City is seeking a Technical Officer who will be responsible for attending to all aspects of technical production in relation to performances and events at the Queens Park Theatre and other City-owned venues. This position works evenings and weekends as required and also supports the Technical Team Leader in all aspects of the Theatreās technical operations.
Key accountabilities:
Effectively manage the setup and operation of various pieces of lighting, audio and AV equipment.
Ensure lighting, audio and staging equipment is operated in the correct and safe manner during performances according to technical requirements as well as in accordance with in-house City of Greater Geraldton Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Ensure all event production aspects are coordinated in a professional manner with a customer-service focus.
Ensure work is carried out in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will ideally have a diploma in Theatre Production and/or experience with relevant certificate level qualification. Additionally, the position requires previous experience with professional performing arts or events technical operations, stage management and sound knowledge of theatre production.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
A salary starting from $63,792 per annum or $32.28 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
