Technical Officer

The Role

Georges River Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated technical officer to join our dynamic and busy entertainment team. You will ensure that customers of the Entertainment Centre and related facilities obtain the best value from the venue, facilities and services by delivering the technical and operational requirements of events.

* Casual Opportunity
* Salary from $31- $36 per hour plus 9.5% superannuation
* Deliver innovative services that promote and support our community.

The successful candidate will be required to:

* Deliver all production requirements for events at Entertainment Centre venues as per event orders, including setups/bump ins, operation, bump out and reset.
* Operate the production facilities within the venues.
* Liaise with relevant staff and contractors for production and maintenance requirements of the venues and equipment.

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications, Certificates & Licences

* Current NSW Drivers Licence
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations) or equivalent experience working within a live theatre environment (minimum 3 years’ experience)

Essential

* Demonstrated experience in the operation of theatre sound, lighting and stage equipment
* Good knowledge of and commitment to safe working practices for events and equipment use and maintenance
* Ability to work flexible hours over a 7-day availability (Monday – Sunday)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Valid Working With Children Check clearance
