The Role
The Technical Officer is responsible for the planning and delivery of industry standard technical services across Bondi Pavilion and other venues as required.
- Recruit, train and roster a pool of casual staff to provide technical and production services for a range of client events and Council programs
- Undertake event planning and delivery including participation production meetings and provision of schedules, technical specifications, risk assessments and reporting.
- Liase with Council’s Art and Culture and Events teams to provide technical and production services for Council – run Bondi Pavilion programs and associated events
- Ensure all technical equipment is maintained and repaired to guarantee highest standards of safety and presentation are met.
About you
- Appropriate tertiary or other qualifications or equivalent experience in technical production, stage management or related fields.
- Demonstrated technical management experience with an audio focus combined with comprehensive working and practical skills required to deliver technical services for theatre productions, events and exhibitions across a multi – venue facility.
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- A positive and collaborative working style
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to facilitate complex situations to a positive outcome.
- Demonstrated organisational capability, able to manage numerous tasks simultaneously and plan for and meet deadlines
- Ability and willingness to work outside standard office hours, including weekends, with time in lieu provisions applying.
- Minimum intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft suite and databases
- Class C driver licence
