Carriageworks is Australia’s leading multi-arts institution. The Carriageworks Artistic Program is ambitious, risk taking and provides significant support to leading Australian and international artists through producing contemporary work.
The Technical Manager is an important role overseeing all technical planning and delivery of Carriageworks program and acts as the principal technical liaison for artists, hirers and eternal contractors. The role is suited to someone with a positive attitude who has a wide range of technical and practical skills encompassing theatrical techniques and, ideally, lighting and audio-visual systems. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, a creative and practical problem solver, have a keen attention to detail and ensure exceptionally high standards are implemented and maintained.
You will have a proven ability to deliver technical support on a multidisciplinary contemporary arts and event program as well as an ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of artists, clients and stakeholders.
