Technical Manager / Acting Production Manager

We seek a Technical Manager with a stellar track record of managing the technical requirements, and the teams that deliver them, across arts productions, programs and events to a world-class standard.

About you

You are a dynamic and adaptable Technical Manager with a proven track record of seamlessly delivering outstanding events. As a collaborative team player, you can manage technical and operational production requirements including logistics, staffing, and design, across multiple projects, and you have the computer skills and administrative abilities to match. Your ability to communicate and problem solve is exceptional and you excel in managing professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Your industry knowledge of of industry trends, WHS, technology, and best practice is exceptional, and experience in CAD drafting including Vectorworks is a plus. If you have a passion for arts, events, and safety with 5+ years in an equivalent role, we would love to hear from you.

The position

An exceptional opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join the Brisbane Festival Technical team. We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to be part of the Brisbane Festival technical team. Supporting the Technical Director and Production Manager, the role will include three months back-filling the Production Manager from March to May, across all productions during Festival planning, and will then become Technical Manager on delegated shows from June until October, through planning and delivery.

The role will commence early February 2024 on a full-time 9 month contract.
