Technical Manager

The Belco Arts Technical Manager brings creativity to life by ensuring smooth technical and facility operations across our Theatre, Galleries, and creative spaces. Reporting to the Co-CEOs, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse array of live performances, exhibitions, and events. From our vibrant Theatre and exquisite Galleries to our Dance Studio, Rehearsal Room, Workshops and other spaces, you’ll maintain venues that inspire our artists, hirers and audiences.

In this role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and OH&S of Belconnen ArtsCentre, acting as the primary contact for emergencies, security, and technical issues. You’ll also operate or coordinate operators for staging, lighting, and audiovisual equipment during events and exhibitions, supervising casual technical staff. Planning with clients and production teams, you’ll ensure every event is executed safely and to the highest standard.

You’ll be part of a dedicated, high-performing team of arts professionals, working in a state-of-the-art multi-arts facility on the shores of Lake Ginninderra. The events and activities you deliver will enhance our community outreach efforts and support our exceptional exhibition program. It’s a place of creativity, connection, celebration and joy.

Collaborating with the Executive and Artistic Directors (Co-CEOs), the Production and Venue Hire Manager, Marketing Manager, and Visitor Services Coordinator, you’ll help ensure our centre and programs continue to fuel a love of and engagement in the arts.
