Hayes Theatre Co presents a combination of in-house and externally produced musical productions annually. The Technical Managers primary areas of responsibility include:
- Maintenance of in-house technical equipment and general venue maintenance
- Liaison with incoming production designers, lighting designers and sound designers regarding venue and equipment specifications
- Assisting with the bump-in/bump-out and technical requirements for all productions, both in-house and externally produced
- Management and implementation of WH&S policies
- Supervision of casual technical crew and production crew
- Annual maintenance of equipment including testing and tagging
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-3 years in an appropriate role relating to technical production
- Proven ability to work & communicate with all departments of theatre craft including lighting, sound & set design
- Extensive experience in theatre maintenance, maintaining/repairing lighting fixtures as necessary and ensuring the venues electrical systems conform to appropriate standards
- Knowledge & working experience with wireless microphones and an ability to run basic stage audio setups
- Sound knowledge of current WH&S standards that apply to the theatre environment, including fire safety & rigging
- High degree of competence in programming lighting consoles, including both conventional & intelligent fixtures
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of CAD-based lighting platforms, especially VectorWorks
- Test & Tag certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience using the ETC Ion
- Soundcraft Expression series
- Riggers Certification
