About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Technical Draughtsperson to play a pivotal role in the creation and restaging of world-class opera productions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, precision, and creativity to ensure that every aspect of our productions meets the highest standards.
This this a permanent role.
The opportunity
New Productions
• Produce precise and detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings to facilitate the staging process.
• Ensure every aspect of production design, including lighting, staging, transport, and storage is optimised for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate closely with the creative team to bring their vision to life.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policies, goals, and commitments to deliver exceptional results.
Revivals
• Review, refine, and update technical drawings required to restage productions from the repertoire.
• Provide expert technical support to companies hiring or restaging productions.
• Oversee technical preparation to ensure seamless restaging and outstanding performance outcomes.
About You
• Proven ability to develop and produce precise general arrangement and construction drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other 3D design software.
• Skilled in using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to support design tasks.
• Capable of prioritising and managing drafting responsibilities to meet production deadlines.
• Highly organised with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills to address production challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding time management abilities, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule.
