About the Position
The Bowl season 2012/2013 is shaping up as a sensational summer of diverse shows. Parklife returns in October followed by an exciting program of festivals and headline acts including Chunky Move with the Melbourne Festival, some of the biggest names in contemporary music such as The Black Keys in November, award winning Gotye in December and a blast from the past with Weezer in January. These events combined with our regular shows -Carols by Candlelight, Australia Day and the free MSO concerts will see a busy and exciting summer at the Bowl.

This role works closely with the SMMB Manager, production managers and staff, along with presenters to ensure events run safely and efficiently, and reports directly to the Operations Manager, Safety & Learning.

The Technical Coordinator will coordinate the technical delivery of events at the SMMB – pre event planning and scheduling, venue technical preparation and event delivery, overseeing of Arts Centre Melbourne production staff, liaison with presenter technical staff and actively contributing to event safety and improvements to operations at the SMMB.

To deliver a successful summer program, you will need to apply your broad knowledge of production technical disciplines and technologies, awareness of OH&S requirements, strong service ethic and problem solving abilities. Your ability to deliver under pressure will see you thrive in this busy and hands-on role!
