Monash University Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Technical Coordinator to provide creative and technical assistance to MAPA’s venues and programs.
The Technical Coordinator plays a critical role as part of the technical team at Monash University Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) providing creative and technical assistance and advice to MAPA’s venues and events. The role is responsible for management, rostering, training and administration of technical staff for events presented in MAPA venues.
The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of high quality and efficient services within the technical service team by overseeing and carrying out training, providing expert technical support for events and provide technical operations support including stage mechanics, lighting and audio, on events as required. This includes setting up and operating technical equipment and stage mechanical, assisting with bump-in and bump-out and preparing post event activities as required.
You will bring an extensive technical production and experience within professional theatre, music, festival or venue industry and have the ability to communicate effectively and work well with others. Experience using EBMS event management software, or similar package, is desirable.
