As the Technical Coordinator you will coordinate the provision of technical design and execution (audio, audiovisual and lighting installations), OH&S procedures, risk assessments, event bump in and bump outs. Your work will ensure the smooth operation and successful execution of performances, functions, exhibitions and events hosted by both Council and external hirers at The Cube Wodonga.
You will lead this fun and energetic team through designing and directing the work of technical staff, casuals and volunteers and roster accordingly. You will be responsible for coordinating external cleaning staff/contractors as well as the technical and logistical operations of the venue, maintenance of equipment, procedures, OH&S operations, and equipment & operations manuals. You will work with the Building Maintenance department to maintain the building and infrastructure to optimal standards.
About you
Our ideal applicant will have previous experience in successfully managing the day-to-day technical operations of a performing arts centre, function centre or a similar style venue.
We are seeking an individual with creative flair and technical expertise who is willing to become fully involved in the dynamic life of The Cube Wodonga. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience as a Theatre Technician and a qualification in Production Arts/Lighting and Sound for Stage/Live Events.
The successful applicant will have experience and proficient skills in Audio Visual equipment and experience in developing, implementing and reviewing OHS procedures and processes. Experience in staff leadership, motivation and supervision is a crucial element of this role.
