The role
We are currently looking for Technical Assistants to assist with technical operations, including the setting up and running of productions and other events requiring theatre production/staging. You will contribute to the safe and efficient set up and set down of productions across Latrobe City’s creative venues with a focus of Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC).
You will have a good understanding of stage production, stage management procedures and theatre etiquette as well as a basic understating of technical lighting and sound equipment and will have the support of the Technical Operations team to develop these skills further.
There will be some on the job training included in this role.

You will need:
- Experience in dealing with technical production and artistic personnel is preferred.
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations is preferred.
- Current certificate of Electrical Safety/Test and Tag, Working Safely at Heights, Scissor Lift and Vertical Lift license would be an advantage but are not required.
