We’re looking for a Technical and Production Supervisor to join the operational team at the Kingston Butter Factory (KBF) cultural precinct. We’re a team of diversely (and immensely) skilled staff and currently have an opportunity for an experienced?Technical & Production Supervisor to join our team as the technical lead at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct which is currently under construction and due for completion in mid-2021! The engagement of this role is a Temporary Full-Time position through to July 2023.
Things we’ll trust you with
You’ll have input into the opening fit-out and then ongoing operations of this new event precinct which includes a Blackbox Theatre, Meeting & Indoor event spaces, Outdoor Stage and Outdoor Plaza event space. You will work as a key member of the onsite KBF operational team to:
- Lead the onsite technical event planning and delivery
- Lead a team of casual technicians through training & familiarisation of onsite equipment and work within a larger venues delivery team across Logan’s entertainment spaces
- Create an environment that inspires people to visit, engage and enjoy events at the precinct– and return for more!

The boxes you’ll tick
- Substantial experience in a similar role within an arts, entertainment or cultural venue is essential. Qualifications in Creative Industries, Performing Arts and Live Production will be highly regarded
- You will have demonstrated competence in set up and operation of lighting, audio, audiovisual and staging equipment
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff, including training, rostering and the allocation and monitoring of tasks appropriate to the individuals’ skillset
- Be self-motivated, flexible, willing to perform a variety of tasks as directed and willing to work flexible hours as required by the events schedule
