Technical and Production Manager

Actors Centre Australia (ACA), a part of the MindChamps Early Learning Group, is one of Australia’s premier acting schools that is committed to providing world-class industry training to aspiring performing artists, by some of the best teaching professionals in the industry. It is also a complete performing and visual arts venue as well as a multipurpose events and functions facility.

In continued pursuit of excellence, Actors Central Australia (ACA) as a Registered Training Organisation (RT0) in partnership with MindChamps Early Learning Group offers high-quality vocational education and training to students seeking a career in the early childhood sector.  Along with our trademark courses in theatre and drama, we will offer a range of accredited Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma and Certificate III courses in performing arts. 

We are now looking for a Technical and Production Manager to join our close-knit team on a permanent part-time basis for 3 days a week.

As a Technical and Production Manager, your core responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage all technical aspects of the live production and provide technical services for students’ shows.
  • Maintain and update all equipment required for live production (lights, projectors, LX/SX desks etc.)
  • Produce, shoot and edit all video contents for social media, website, advertising and campaigns.
  • Assist with production, editing, and distribution of students’ work.
  • Provide training to tutors on the operation of any technical equipment.
  • All other reasonable duties as directed.
  • Professional interactions with colleagues, students, and external parties.
  • Adhere to all ACA policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety policy and procedures.


What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary Qualification in theatre, screen or media, production or technical operations.
  • Excellent attention to details and a passion for delivering quality work of a high standard.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated drive and initiative with a proactive approach to work and willingness to undertake tasks outside of core remit.
  • Good research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
