The Rechabite is looking for an experienced and passionate production professional with an eye for detail to join our full-time team. With a host of international, national and local acts across a diverse range of genres already on our calendar for 2024 and beyond, we’re excited to find someone who is similarly enthusiastic about presenting excellent entertainment and art to the people of Perth.
The ideal candidate will have a background in audio and an appetite to learn more about all aspects of production. This role is supported by the programming and broader creative team though can be very independent at times meaning a high degree of organisation and time management is a must.
The Production Manager routinely interfaces with artists and event organisers and as such, a passion for client relationship management and excellent communication skills are required.
This position would be best suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and appreciates the nuances that truly wonderful production can add to already spectacular performance.
Experience in a comparable role is not required, though broader management skills and experience with budgeting/cost control will be viewed as highly favourable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the coordination of events across the multi-purpose performance venues with third parties and the management team.
- Oversee the production operator roster and fill any operator shifts as required.
- Manage and oversee costs associated with the production department, in line with budget targets and provide reporting as required.
- Work closely with the programming team to determine event technical requirements and coordinate staff & additional equipment requirements.
- Regularly maintain and update inventory, procedures, technical specification documents and production schedules for seasonal and in-house events.
- Present as a key face for The Rechabite, embracing the culture of the building.
- Respond to all promoter and producer enquiries in relation to technical specifications in a timely manner.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and safety of in-house production equipment including coordinating repair and replacement.
- Provide prompt and detailed feedback and recommendations on any potential improvements in relation to production.
- Assist in the development of The Rechabite policies and procedures relating to production.
- Actively develop and participate in scheduled training and professional development sessions as required.
