Team Leader – Entertainment Operations

The Team Leader Entertainment Operations will report to the Coordinator Programming and Operations as part of the Community & Culture Directorate. This is a leadership role with the focus on delivering high quality customer service. This role is required to coordinate all operational, technical, catering and beverage (as per liquor licence) requirements for meetings and venue hire in council facilities and the Hurstville Entertainment Centre.

  • Permanent, Full-Time – 70 hours per fortnight
  • Flexible hours over a 7-day availability (Monday to Sunday), occasional weekend shifts
  • Salary from $87,770.80 – $101,695.64 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation
  • 9-day fortnight subject to operational requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current Class C NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card (RSA)
  • Demonstrated experience in the theatre/events/hospitality industry in an operational/administrative role.
  • Experience in managing all aspects of the operation of venues including production (A/V), seating, rigging and all necessary components of an event.
  • Ability to plan, organise, supervise and lead a team using day to day resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering excellent customer service and strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WH&S and Risk Management in theatre/events/hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in training staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role – prolonged standing and walking throughout day
