Symphony of Lights is a fusion of art and technology set in front of Perth’s iconic Bell Tower. As the symphony builds to a crescendo, the lights respond, illuminating the space and enhancing the energy of the music.
This spectacular immersive experience is designed, built, programmed and operated by Lux Events for the Perth Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail.
696 cubic metres of custom structure.
More than 600 lighting cues in 9 minutes.
Massive inventory of state-of-the-art Martin and Prolights moving lights.
Original music composition by Harrison Read at Busy Mind
The installation is programmed using an MA lighting grandMA2 light and then recorded onto an Enttec S-Play unit which triggers all the playlists each night including power-on cycles, lamp-on and off sequences. It triggers show cycles and audio every 15 minutes and can be remotely accessed for fault finding before they send techs on-site if need be.
It is a custom-designed and engineered structure with Lux Events working closely with suppliers to create a custom roof and cladding structure, all within the restricted load limitations.
Now showing every night at Barrack Square until 2 January.
